I lived in a duplex with 3 other female family members. We returned from an outing and I realized my gun was missing. Someone (I felt a male) had broken in and went through my things, found the key to my lockbox, read old documents and highlighted comments on them, stolen my gun but left the lockbox key still inside the lockbox, and rearranged the drawer order to my dresser. It took us a while to realize the different items he'd bothered since nothing was blatant. I felt as though he may have placed hidden cameras in my living area but also realized I needed to rearrange my furniture so my bed was no longer opposite of my window. During this time, a male friend of my daughter's came to see her and mentioned he'd seen someone dressed as maybe a fireman with a ladder outside what he now knows was my window. I had also discovered the violator entered through the window and also found items of an outfit of mine left in random places. I woke up as I was dealing with having to now feeling as I was being watched and in a space where my privacy was violated.
